THE CRESCENT CONNECTION BRIDGE RUN

Join us for a great evening as you RUN OR WALK the most unique course in the South across the iconic Crescent City Connection! Starting at 6:00 pm, the Crescent Connection Bridge Run gives participants a breathtaking view of the city’s skyline at sunset.

Participants start on New Orleans’ Westbank and cross the Mississippi River via the Crescent City Connection Bridge. The Bridge Run is a favorite among serious runners, walkers and partiers alike! Experience the skyline and enjoy the post-race party at Fulton Street, that only the folks from the Crescent City Classic can throw!

Children 5 and under receive free registration. They do NOT receive a t-shirt or race bib. YOUR REGISTRATION INCLUDES: • Commemorative t-shirt and finishers medal • Timed race bib and results • Entry into post-race party with live music at Fulton Street • FREE shuttle service TEAM DISCOUNT: Teams of 10+ receive a $5 discount. The initial member of the group will create the team and team name. As other members of the group register, they select the team name from the drop-down menu to join that team/group. The first 9 team members pay the regular registration price. When the 10th member joins the team, he/she will receive a $5 discount. As soon as the 10th registration is complete, the first 9 team members will receive a $5 refund to their original form of payment. BIB NUMBERS, RACE T-SHIRTS: Participants can pick up their bib number from the Registration Tents inside the Oakwood Center parking lot on Race Day or before the race during Early Number Pickup.

3:30 pm Free shuttle buses begin picking up participants on Convention Center Blvd to bring to Start Line on Westbank

5:00 pm Late registration ($45) and race bib pick up tent opens inside the Oakwood Center parking lot near Dick’s Sporting Goods

5:30 pm Last shuttle bus departs the Eastbank to drop off participants at Start Line

5:45 pm Final Announcements, Dignitary Welcome and the National Anthem begin at the start line

6:00 pm The Crescent Connection Bridge Run begins!

6:30 pm The post-race party commences at the Port of New Orleans on Eastbank at Fulton Street

7:00 pm Buses begin picking up participants on Convention Center Blvd, to bring back to Westbank

7:30 pm Award ceremony begins on stage

9:00 pm The Crescent Connection Bridge Run post-race party officially ends; Last shuttle bus departs the Eastbank, to drop off participants back on Westbank

The 6K course begins on New Orleans’ West Bank and crosses the Mississippi River via the Crescent City Connection Bridge. The course ends on the East Bank in downtown New Orleans, with a post-race party complete with live music and free beer and food at Fulton Street. Participants will enjoy a scenic view of the river and downtown New Orleans while watching a beautiful sunset during the 6K run/walk.

PARK AT THE FINISH (EAST BANK) AND TAKE FREE SHUTTLE TO START:

FREE Shuttle buses will bring race participants from the East Bank to the start area at Oakwood Center from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. Parking available downtown at the Harrah’s Parking Garage – 501 Convention Center Blvd. Shuttles to the start will pick you up near the entrance to the Harrah’s Parking Garage outside of Ernst Café at the corner of South Peters and Lafayette St.

PARK AT THE START (WEST BANK) AND TAKE FREE SHUTTLE AFTER RACE:

Free parking is available near the start line, in the Oakwood Center shopping mall parking lot – 197 West Bank Expy., Gretna, LA 70053. Shuttles will bring you from the post-race fest, on the East Bank, to your car on the West Bank from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Shuttles will pick you up outside of Ernst Café at the corner of South Peters and Lafayette St.

Participants are invited to attend the Michelob Ultra Post-Race Party and awards ceremony after the race at Fulton Street. Live entertainment, Michelob Ultra Beer, Kentwood Springs water, Gatorade, and Blue Runner Foods Red Beans and Rice will be provided for all race participants. There will also be discounted food options at the Fulton Street restaurants and bars, so don’t forget debit cards/cash!

FAQ's

Where does the race start?

The race begins on the West Bank near Oakwood Shopping Center. Race Day number pick up and registration will begin at 4:30 pm on Race Day inside the parking lot of Oakwood Center near Dick’s Sporting Goods. 

Where does the race finish?

The race ends on the Eastbank of downtown New Orleans at Fulton Street where the post-race party will be held! After the race, you can pick up your race t-shirt and enjoy free food, Michelob Ultra beer, and local music!

What is the course like?

The 6K course is approximately 3.7 miles.The course takes you across the Mississippi River on the HOV lane of the Crescent Connection Bridge with a view of the NOLA skyline at sunset. Four miles total; about one mile is uphill and one is downhill; the other two are flat. The uphill slope is gradual, but the downhill slope, off the HOV lane, is steep.

Where do I pick up my race t-shirt?

Commemorative race shirts will be given to ALL race participants on Race Day at the end of the race or during Early Number Pickup.

How do I pickup my bib number?

Participants can pick up their bib number from the Registration Tents inside the Oakwood Center parking lot on Race Day or before the race during Early Number Pickup.
Each bib number will have a timing chip attached to the back – DO NOT REMOVE THIS.

Where is early packet pickup?

Are walkers and strollers welcome?

Absolutely! Just please be courteous to our runners and line up near the back on Race Day.

When will the Bridge be closed?

The Bridge will not be closed for the event. Regular Bridge traffic is not affected by the race because the event utilizes the HOV Transit Lane of the CCC.

Is there an entry fee for the post-race party?

No! Runners, friends and family are all welcome to attend! We will have complimentary food and beer for everyone!
